South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula has a rugged, untamed coastline that is equal parts frightening and awesome to see. The feeling of remoteness and solitude is intense, and yet you’re never far from major highways and rural towns in this region.
For RVers who love being off-grid, there are plenty of easily accessible and safe options where you can experience the natural beauty of this region – and winter is the perfect time to see its wild side. With an average daily temperature of 16 degrees, Eyre Peninsula has reasonably mild winters; and outside of fire restriction time, you can enjoy a cosy campfire at many campsites.
The craggy, rugged coastline has been shaped by the waters of the Great Australian Bight on the western side and Spencer Gulf on the east. And you’re spoilt for choice of campsites overlooking white sandy beaches, fringing the ‘all shades of blue’ water.
