A Taste of the Country: Farm Stays That Cater for RVs

Farm stays offer a different kind of RV experience — one where you trade the busy caravan park for wide open paddocks, campfire skies and encounters with wildlife you won’t find anywhere else. These six RV-friendly farm stays prove that the country life is well and truly calling.

Six of the Best Farm Stays in Australia for RV Travellers

While many head to coastal and hinterland parks when they’re travelling in their RVs, farm stays offer a unique experience where you can be among nature and have a myriad of wildlife experiences while giving back to the local community. Here are six we love.

Old Mac’s Caravan and Motorhome Farm Stay, Tasmania

Five kilometres from Launceston, this idyllic property includes a scenic lake for guests to use for fishing. Beginners can try their luck at hooking rainbow trout. Fly-fishing lessons, horse trail rides and riding lessons are available too. There are paddleboats and canoes for hire, and you can go strawberry picking. The farm and fishery are fully accessible for those with disabilities or mobility issues. Launceston is in the Tamar Valley, famous for its wineries and excellent fresh produce, so take some time to explore the region while you’re there.
