Swapping coastlines for cool-country climes, this young family hits the road from the Tweed to Toowoomba.
Perhaps the only thing better than waking to a water view is knowing it's yours for the price of a powered site. After a traffic-choked escape from Brisbane to Pottsville, on the Tweed Coast, our family couldn't have asked for a more serene wake-up on this sunny Saturday. Pelicans glide in like seaplanes to land on the still waters of Mooball Creek, lapping gently against the rock wall just metres from our motorhome. Still in pyjamas, we serve porridge to the kids, who are on their bikes the moment spoons hit empty bowls.
We're testing the waters for a full-blown RV lifestyle – maybe even a lap. For now, we've hired a rig through Camplify, borrowing from a savvy owner making the most of their vehicle's downtime.
