CMCA Insurance team building

Following the recent launch of CMCA Insurance, we meet the team and check in to see how members are enjoying the cover and service.

How CMCA Insurance is working for members

It was big news when we announced that CMCA had partnered with NM Insurance to create CMCA Insurance, in a major move that will deliver exceptional customer service, build confidence and provide cover designed for the way CMCA members travel. One of the key actions was to base a dedicated CMCA Insurance team at CMCA's head office in Newcastle.

We caught up with CMCA Insurance program manager Steve Cap to see how things are going.

CMCA Insurance continues to grow, with Amelia, David and Shelley joining the team. What does it mean for members having a dedicated CMCA Insurance team at NHQ?

Having our team at Newcastle head office is paramount to supporting members who can come in and speak to my team in person. The team is also backed by the broader NM Insurance group, which already supports more than 30,000 caravan and motorhome customers through a team of 110-plus insurance specialists across six offices in Australia and New Zealand. This gives members the benefit of a local CMCA Insurance team along with nationwide support. Being on site also allows us to foster great relationships with the CMCA team and receive and respond to any feedback faster.

CMCA Insurance is built around service, specialist capability and listening to members. How is that being put into practice?

Our team is passionate about customer service, and we place strong emphasis on providing the right product training, so every team member is set up to deliver excellent customer outcomes. We have highly experienced insurance experts leading our CMCA Insurance team, and we're also excited to welcome some Newcastle-based team members who are eager to get to know the CMCA community and better understand the needs of members.

What has the response been like from members during the first month of trading?

We've received a large amount of positive feedback on our service, pricing and policy. Working through this feedback has helped us get to know the CMCA community and its needs. Members are also very excited to hear about our 'price beat' offer. If, on the rare occasion, they receive a renewal notice from a competitor with a cheaper premium, we'll aim to beat it by up to 5 per cent (on like-for-like cover).

How and when should members get in touch with the team?

Feel free to contact us at any time, either when your renewal notice is first sent out or whenever you want to discuss your insurance needs. Don't leave it until the last minute! Utilise the time from when you receive your renewal to make an informed decision.

You can reach us on 1300 145 240 or via insurance.cmca.au, to get any information or a quote. And remember, if your renewal is cheaper elsewhere, let us know and we can look to assist you with our renewal price beat offer.
