Want the low-down of taking your motorhome to the snow? See how Malcolm Street does it.
I'm a fan of heading to the snow country in winter to indulge in a bit of skiing. I'm also a fan of motorhome travel and have managed to combine both at various times. My latest trip happened when Avida was kind enough to loan me its Explorer LX 4x4 Campervan.
I'd reviewed the Mercedes-Benz-based Explorer LX previously, but when the opportunity came along for a week in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains, I grabbed it with both ski gloves.
Although an all-season destination, the Snowies mostly draw the ski and snowboard fraternity come winter. Jindabyne, the capital of the New South Wales snow country, is a sub-alpine town that offers a variety of accommodation for skiers, including two decent caravan parks on the shores of Lake Jindabyne.
