Tasmania Autumn Festival (1-30 April 2025)

A verdant landscape of orchards and farmlands, the Derwent Valley and Central Highlands are postcard-pretty… and this event provides the perfect opportunity to explore the region and indulge in seasonal produce and wine. Over the entire month of April, you'll discover a series of events from entertainment to food and wine trails.

Don't miss: The Agrarian Kitchen restaurant and cooking school in New Norfolk which is part of the event's foodie trail. Co-founders Rodney Dunn and Séverine Demanet opened their original cooking school and farm 17 years ago, growing and cooking authentic food from an old schoolhouse in Lachlan, Tasmania. Eight years ago, they moved to New Norfolk's Willow Court, the town's old mental asylum, and The Agrarian Kitchen was born.

The Karijini Experience, WA (11-14 April 2025)

Held in the Karijini National Park, the sacred homeland of the Banjima people, the four-day Karijini Experience is a rare opportunity to connect with the land and its custodians and enjoy a line-up of events from fine dining under the stars to family-friendly workshops.

For more than three decades, Grape Escape in the Grampians National Park has been celebrating Western Victoria's finest wine, food and music. There are more than 120 stalls, where foodies and wine aficionados can savour world-class wines and devour delicious morsels from the myriad of local artisan producers.

Tasting Australia, SA (2-11 May 2025)

One of the country's longest-running food and wine festivals, Tasting Australia transforms Adelaide into a culinary hub, celebrating the nation's finest produce, chefs and winemakers. Expect world-class dining experiences, cooking demonstrations, masterclasses, and regional events showcasing South Australia's vibrant food culture and world-renowned wine regions.

Karrimanjbekkan An-me Kakadu – Taste of Kakadu is a cultural food festival focused on a native-infused food program. Set within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, the festival promises unique culinary and cultural experiences including traditional ground oven feasts, forage walks with Traditional Owners, canapé cruises and workshops.

Don't miss: The Bush Spice workshop where you can try the intense flavours of Indigenous bush spices and learn how to add them to your cooking, before creating a custom spice blend to take home.

GourMay Mary Valley Food Festival, QLD (1-31 May 2025)

Learn more about regenerative farming, indulge in a long table lunch, or walk through a wild macadamia habitat in the Mary Valley. This event is all about getting visitors up close and personal with the region's food and wine producers. During the month-long event, four of the Mary Valley's best local cooks will go head-to-head in a 'mystery box' challenge. There's also a Vintner's Lunch at Dingo Creek Winery, a Bushfood Long Lunch at Kandanga Farm Store and a chance to explore the Mary Valley Rail Trail.  

Don't miss: The Imbil Rail Park Camp Oven Competition on the 4th of May. Enter the camp oven competition, and straight after the judging have dinner on the grounds of the historic Imbil Rail Park.
